First, do you use a CRM? If not, why not? Large percentages of sales are lost because of a lack of follow-up and organization by the salesperson.
If you are using a CRM, are you using it to its full potential?
HubSpot says that the CRM has evolved, and your strategy should as well. They have a post about how your sales strategy can evolve by incorporating your CRM to "Harness the Full Potential of Automation."
